Lilium 'Sentosa' is a striking hybrid lily that captivates with its intense, rich pink flowers with a deeper reddish-pink centre, adding depth and contrast to summer plantings. The large, star-shaped flowers face upward and outward, creating a bright focal point in borders and containers, and they are a great choice for vivid, romantic cut-flower arrangements. In arrangements, the stems hold their shape well, and the flowers open gradually, extending the display and making it easy to combine 'Sentosa' with both soft pastels and crisp whites for a balanced, elegant look.
The plants typically grow to 100–120 cm (40–48 in) and bear numerous, generous flowers that open sequentially for a longer display. 'Sentosa' blooms in mid- to late summer (July–August) and performs well in full sun to partial shade, providing a reliable garden display and sturdy stems for cutting. For best results, plant lilies in well-drained soil (raised beds help in heavy soil) and, if necessary, stake taller stems in more open, windy areas.
