Canna Primrose Yellow

Canna ‘Primrose Yellow’ is a sunny, tropical-style garden canna with soft primrose-yellow blooms that brighten borders and patio containers throughout summer. The gentle yellow tone looks fresh and elegant, pairing beautifully with white flowers, pastel pinks, lavender-blue companions, and rich green foliage. Its compact habit makes it especially practical for smaller gardens and container displays where you still want an exotic, architectural effect. This variety is ideal when you want a warm colour accent that remains light and refined rather than harsh.

The plant grows to a height of 50–60 cm (20–24 inches) and produces soft primrose-yellow flowers with a diameter of 5–10 cm. Its sunny blooms sit above broad, ornamental foliage, making it perfect for large pots and tubs, patio containers, and bold mid-border planting where you want a compact tropical accent. Flowering typically runs from July to October, and ‘Primrose Yellow’ performs best in full sun in fertile, well-drained soil kept evenly moist with regular watering and feeding; remove spent blooms to keep the plant tidy and encourage continued flowering.
