Canna Vanilla Cream

Canna ‘Vanilla Cream’ is an elegant, tropical-style garden canna with soft creamy-white blooms that add a gentle, luminous accent to summer borders and patio containers. The refined colour is perfect for brightening mixed plantings and creating calm combinations with pastel flowers, silvery foliage, and fresh greens. Its compact-to-medium size makes it practical for smaller gardens while still delivering an exotic, architectural look. This variety is ideal when you want a light, sophisticated focal point that won’t overpower surrounding colours.

The plant grows to a height of 60–70 cm (24–28 inches) and produces large creamy-white flowers with a diameter of 10–15 cm, often finished with a soft yellow centre. Its luminous blooms sit above broad green ornamental foliage on sturdy stems, making it perfect for large pots and tubs, sunny patio containers, and bright mid-to-back border planting where you want a light, refined tropical accent. Flowering typically runs from July to October, and ‘Vanilla Cream’ performs best in full sun in fertile, well-drained soil kept evenly moist with regular watering and feeding. In regions with frost, lift and store the rhizomes frost-free for winter to protect the plant and ensure strong regrowth next season.
