Lily (Lilium) 'Little Mountain' is a refined Oriental lily with large, pure-white blooms that bring a crisp, elegant look to summer borders. The flowers are impressively sized (15-20 cm across) and noticeably fragrant, making this variety ideal for planting near seating areas or pathways. It can flower for up to three weeks, giving a long-lasting highlight in the garden. Its clean white color also makes it a perfect “lightener” for mixed borders, balancing out stronger pinks and purples.
The plants reach around 80-120 cm (31-47 inches) and look best when planted in small groups for a strong, unified accent. For reliable performance, grow it in fertile, well-drained, slightly acidic soil and choose a sunny spot or light partial shade. Plant the bulbs deep (about 15–20 cm) with roughly 20 cm spacing to help create sturdy stems and healthy growth. After flowering, remove spent blooms but leave the foliage until it yellows naturally to support next year’s bloom.
