Raspberry Cascade Delight

Raspberry ‘Cascade Delight’ is a high-performing summer-fruiting raspberry prized for its large, attractive berries and excellent flavour. It’s a strong choice for gardeners who want a generous harvest for fresh eating as well as for jams, desserts, and freezing. The berries are typically firm and well-shaped, making them easy to pick and handle without crushing. With its vigorous growth and heavy cropping potential, this variety is ideal for productive kitchen gardens and berry rows.

The canes typically grow to a height of 150–200 cm (59–79 inches) and produce heavy summer crops on second-year canes. The berries are notably large and often ripen in generous clusters, with a sweet, full raspberry taste and good texture that holds up well in the kitchen. ‘Cascade Delight’ is valued for reliable productivity and strong garden performance when grown on a support system that keeps canes upright and improves airflow. Plant in a sunny to lightly shaded position in fertile, well-drained soil, water consistently during flowering and fruiting for best berry size, and mulch annually to conserve moisture and support steady growth; after harvest, remove the canes that have fruited and tie in the new canes for next season.
