Rose ‘Silas Marner’ is a graceful garden rose known for its soft, romantic blooms and classic, densely petalled rosette shape. The colouring sits in a gentle blush-to-pink range that gives borders a calm, elegant look and blends easily with pastels, whites, and cool-toned companions. It flowers in repeat flushes, so the plant keeps bringing fresh colour for a long season. The blooms are also excellent for cutting, adding a delicate, refined accent to bouquets.
The plant grows to a height of about 110 cm (43 inches) and produces soft blush-pink, densely petalled rosette blooms with a diameter of 5–10 cm (shade may vary with weather and maturity). Its romantic flowers are carried on strong stems above healthy green foliage, making it perfect for cottage-style borders, traditional rose beds, and cutting gardens where you want a refined pastel focal point. Flowering typically repeats in flushes from late spring to autumn, and ‘Silas Marner’ performs best in full sun (at least 5–6 hours of direct light) in fertile, well-drained soil enriched with compost, with regular watering during establishment. Deadhead spent blooms to encourage new buds, feed in spring and after the first main flush for better repeat flowering, and prune in late winter to shape the plant and promote vigorous new growth.
