Dahlia ‘Lake Michigan’ is a refined decorative dahlia that brings a soft, luminous look to the late-summer garden. Its large, elegant blooms have a gentle pastel character, making the variety easy to combine with both bright companions and calm, airy planting schemes. The flowers are also excellent for cutting, adding volume and a fresh, light tone to bouquets. This variety is a strong choice if you want a tall, classic dahlia with a sophisticated colour effect.
The plant grows to a height of 100–120 cm (39–47 inches) and produces generous, multi-coloured blooms with a diameter of 10–15 cm from summer into autumn. Its tall, upright stems and clean green foliage make it ideal for the back of borders, mixed cutting gardens, and statement planting where the flowers can be displayed above surrounding perennials. ‘Lake Michigan’ performs best in full sun in fertile, well-drained soil and responds well to regular watering, feeding, and deadheading for continuous bloom.
