Strawberry Sonata is a mid-season strawberry variety valued for sweet, aromatic berries and reliable cropping over a long harvest window. Thanks to good firmness, the berries hold their shape well after picking, making them practical for serving and short-term keeping. With steady sun and moisture, ‘Sonata’ typically delivers uniform, market-style strawberries through the main summer season.
The plant grows to a height of about 15 cm (6 inches) and produces large, conical red berries measuring around 3 cm across. The fruit has a sweet, aromatic flavour profile that works well for fresh snacking and simple home desserts, and the firm texture helps the berries stay neat once harvested. Harvesting usually runs from June to August, providing a consistent pick over the mid-season period.
