The flowers rise on sturdy stems above neat clumps of sword-like foliage, making this iris a strong choice for sunny perennial beds, cottage-style planting schemes, and cutting. Its rose-to-wine tones pair beautifully with silvery foliage and soft pastels, helping create a refined, harmonious border without harsh colour contrasts.
The plant grows to a height of 70–90 cm (28–35 inches) and produces large, ruffled flowers with a diameter of about 10–15 cm in rose-pink to wine shades, often with deeper veining and contrast (exact tones may vary). Strong stems hold the blooms clearly above tidy, sword-like foliage, giving the planting a clean vertical accent during the flowering window.
