Iris Germanica (Bearded Iris) ‘Wine and Roses’ is a romantic bearded iris variety selected for richly coloured, ruffled blooms that bring classic elegance to late-spring borders. The flowers rise on sturdy stems above neat clumps of sword-like foliage, making this iris a strong choice for sunny perennial beds, cottage-style planting schemes, and cutting. Its rose-to-wine tones pair beautifully with silvery foliage and soft pastels, helping create a refined, harmonious border without harsh colour contrasts.
The plant grows to a height of 70–90 cm (28–35 inches) and produces large, ruffled flowers with a diameter of about 10–15 cm in rose-pink to wine shades, often with deeper veining and contrast (exact tones may vary).
