Dahlia Black Sun Collection (5 bulbs)

Dahlia Black Sun Collection is a dramatic mix of dahlia tubers selected for deep, dark-toned blooms and a bold late-season accent in the garden. The collection centres on rich shades such as burgundy, maroon, wine, and near-black tones, creating a refined, contemporary look in sunny borders and large patio containers. These dahlias also cut beautifully, adding depth and contrast to bouquets right through the main season. For extra impact, combine them with pale flowers or silvery foliage so the dark tones read even richer.

The plant grows to a height of 50–120 cm (20–47 inches) and produces richly coloured blooms with a diameter of about 8–20 cm in burgundy, maroon, wine, and near-black shades (exact tones may vary). The dark flowers give planting schemes a strong focal point and provide striking stems for arrangements where you want contrast and mood. Flowering runs from summer until the first frost, keeping the display active well into the late season. Dahlia thrives in full sun in fertile, well-drained soil, planted after frost risk has passed, with regular watering during active growth, staking in exposed spots, and consistent deadheading to maintain continuous blooming.
