Lily (Lilium) ‘Sandor’ is an Asiatic hybrid lily grown from bulbs, valued for strong stems and a bright, summery presence in borders and cutting gardens. The flowers have a classic, clean lily shape that looks crisp both up close and from a distance. Like many Asiatic lilies, it brings reliable colour with little to no fragrance, making it comfortable for patios and indoor arrangements. Planted in groups, it creates a more cohesive, “designed” effect and adds an easy vertical rhythm among perennials.
The plant grows to a height of about 70–110 cm (28–43 inches) and produces upward- to outward-facing flowers with a typical diameter of about 10–15 cm. The blooms sit on straight stems above fresh green foliage, giving tidy structure in sunny beds and providing excellent harvestable stems for bouquets. Flowering is typically in early to mid-summer (often June–July), and ‘Sandor’ performs best in full sun to light partial shade in well-drained soil kept evenly moist during active growth, then allowed to die back naturally after flowering so the bulb can recharge.
