Dahlia Miss Sophie

Dahlia ‘Miss Sophie’ is a striking, long-flowering dahlia with an unusual bloom shape and a refined two-tone effect. The flowers have a bright white centre and petals edged in rich purple, creating a crisp contrast that looks fresh and elegant all summer. The plant grows to a height of 90–120 cm (35–47 inches) and forms a strong, bushy clump that benefits from support as the stems carry large flowers. Plant tubers in May after the risk of frost has passed, in a sunny, wind-sheltered spot with fertile, well-drained soil, then water consistently without waterlogging and feed during active growth. In autumn, cut back the stems and lift the tubers for cool, frost-free storage if winters are cold.
