Product Description - Hyacinth (double flowering) Crystal Palace
Crystal Palace hyacinth (Hyacinthus orientalis 'Crystal Palace') This is an oriental hyacinth with double flowers. An early flowering variety. It was bred quite recently, in 2001. 'Crystal Palace' is an incredibly elegant flower. You must see it bloom for yourself! The peduncle is about 25 cm tall. The flowers are double, bell-shaped, numerous (up to 40 pieces), violet-blue or deep blue in colour with a darker central stripe. Over time, they fade: they become pale blue with pale stripes. The size of the flower is up to 4 cm in diameter and the same or slightly larger in length. The flowers have a strong and persistent sweet aroma. The leaves are linear, smooth, blue-green, collected in basal rosettes of 9 pieces. The inflorescence is a dense cluster, spherical-cylindrical in shape and up to 15 cm high. It blooms for a long time, up to three weeks. A unique terry variety is an excellent choice for decorating a garden or creating a flower arrangement. Ideal for forcing. Prefers sunny places or partial shade. It should be protected from wind and drafts. The flowering period is March-April.
