Product Description - Allium Firmament
The Allium 'Firmament' (Allium 'Firmament') is a superb hybrid introduced in the late 1990s, celebrated for its dense, perfectly spherical flower heads 12–15 cm across formed of hundreds of small, star-shaped florets in a deep, shimmering metallic dark violet-purple — almost black-purple in certain light — that holds its dramatic colour perfectly for 5–7 weeks.
The plant forms strong, upright stems rising cleanly above narrow grey-green foliage to a height of 80–100 cm (31–39 inches) with a spread of 25–35 cm. The foliage dies back discreetly, leaving flawless architectural globes. Ideal for middle-to-back borders, contemporary plantings, gravel gardens, or as stunning long-lasting cut flowers.
