Product Description - Allium Purple Rain
The Allium 'Purple Rain' (Allium 'Purple Rain') is a stunning hybrid introduced in the early 2010s, celebrated for its loose, slightly weeping clusters of 50–80 star-shaped, vivid violet-purple flowers that create a graceful, cascading “rain” effect. Each floret has a subtle darker eye and a faint metallic sheen, holding its luminous colour perfectly for 5–7 weeks.
The plant forms elegant, arching stems rising above narrow grey-green foliage to a height of 90–110 cm (35–43 inches) with a spread of 30–40 cm. The slightly open habit gives a softer, more romantic look than the classic tight spheres. Ideal for middle-to-back borders, naturalistic plantings, or as exquisite long-lasting cut flowers.
