Product Description - Allium Summer Drummer
The Allium 'Summer Drummer' (Allium 'Summer Drummer') is a breathtaking hybrid introduced in the early 2000s, celebrated for its perfectly spherical flower heads 15–18 cm across in a rich violet-purple that fades gracefully to soft mauve, holding its colour perfectly for 6–8 weeks. What makes it truly unique is its extraordinary height and late flowering time — it towers above almost everything else in the midsummer garden.
The plant forms rock-solid, upright stems rising from narrow, grey-green foliage to a height of 170–200 cm (5½–6½ feet) with a spread of 30–40 cm. The foliage dies back cleanly before flowering, leaving clean architectural stems. Ideal as a dramatic back-of-border screen, focal point, or stunning long-lasting cut flower.

To guarantee the best result and quality of our plants and bulbs, we dispatch all our orders at the right planting period. We monitor harvests in The Netherlands and weather conditions across Europe and start shipping our orders according to the following schedule:

- Spring Flowering Bulbs (tulips, hyacinths, daffodils, etc.) - from 20 September until 1 December.
- Seeds and Garden Tools – all year round
