The hippeastrum, or Aphrodite amaryllis, is suitable for people inspired by Greek mythology. Every curve of the petal and subtlety colouring is nothing short of the result of the work of breeders from Japan.
Appearance and fragrance
The green backbone of the plant is made up of stalk-like leaves that spread out from a single rosette. The stem of Aphrodite is flat and short, which turns the already large white flower with crimson edges into a voluminous and large flowering cap. One stalk is capable of producing up to 5 buds, enveloping everything around it in a delicate scent of exotic fruit and flowers.
Flowering period: March to May.
Height: 40 cm.
Diameter of the flowers: up to 24 cm.
Flower shape: open.
Colour: white with a crimson edge.
