The Hippeastrum 'Sissi' is a spectacular indoor plant variety known for its large, double, deep-pink flowers. Perfect for bringing vibrant color into your home, this variety typically blooms 6–8 weeks after planting.
To ensure a healthy plant and abundant blooms, follow these guidelines:
- Planting: Use a pot with drainage holes only 2–4 cm larger than the bulb, planting in nutritious substrate while leaving the top third or half of the bulb above the soil.
- Light & Water: Place in a bright, warm location and water moderately until the flower stalk appears, ensuring the soil does not become waterlogged.
- Post-Bloom Care: Cut off withered flowers but keep the leaves, as they are essential for photosynthesis and nutrient accumulation.
- Dormancy: In autumn, reduce watering, allow the leaves to dry, and store the bulb in a cool, dark place (10–13°C) for 8–10 weeks before the new season.
