The delicate white astilbe Deutschland will delight all florists not only with its rhombic panicles of inflorescences but also with its spectacular openwork foliage, appearing in early spring on bright red stems.

Astilbe is highly decorative for a long time and as it is also very shade-tolerant, it will be a godsend in northern and north-eastern corners of the garden and flowerbeds. Its flowering time will be quite long, up to three weeks, but in a sunnier location the astilbe will flower a little earlier and be more compact.
The young plants of Deutschland will be planted in a permanent location in early autumn. The distance between adjacent plants should be at least 50 cm, as the creeping rhizomes will quickly increase their vegetative mass. The shrub is undemanding, requiring only regular moist soil, and has a good winter hardiness in all regions of the country.
