Koeln is an astilbe of Japanese origin that forms lush strong bushes that are decorated in the first decade of July with extremely beautiful deep pink and crimson flowers. They are pleasantly scented and grow on sturdy peduncles. The flowering period lasts about two weeks but the annual doesn't lose its glamorous look before and afterwards. Its green foliage with a brownish tint will make it stand out in the garden or flower bed.
