Begonia 'Crispa White-Red' is a bushy, tuberous plant that belongs to the Begonia family.
Appearance
The adult plant (shrub) is 20-25 cm tall and has a spreading bush. The fleshy, succulent stem bears large, split green leaves, which also have a red border around the edges. Flowers large (up to 120 mm in diameter), petals corrugated, broadly oval, painted white-pink-red. The entire petal has a white-pink hue, while the edges are tinged with red.
This begonia prefers to grow in organic-rich, well loosened and moist soil. It is a very sun-loving plant, but suffers from direct sunlight and grows and flowers well in the penumbra. It blooms in June and lasts until August-September (it may last longer if conditions are favourable). The number of flowers on the plant increases over time, and the flowers are odourless. The plant is cold-resistant and resistant to some garden diseases. Grows both in containers and in the flower bed.
