Begonia 'Cascade Orange' is a beautifully flowering shrub in the Begonia family. The height of a shrub is 20-25 cm and the width of a shrub is 8-10 cm. This straddling plant has a succulent, fleshy stem on which the large, dark green leaves, with distinctive reddish edges, grow alternately. The flowers are fairly large (100-120 mm in diameter), the edges of the petals are corrugated and painted yellow-orange. The flowers are odourless.
This begonia variety prefers to grow in rich (neutral), well loosened and moistened soil. It likes a sunny location, but grows and flowers well in the penumbra as well. The plant does not like direct sunlight. The flowering period is June-September, but the growing period may be long under favourable conditions. This tuberous plant is also very cold-resistant and does not suffer from most garden diseases. It can be grown in containers as well as in open soils (flowerbeds). A very unpretentious and ornamental variety.
