About Blueberry ‘Reka’ – Plants and Berries
Blueberry ‘Reka’ is a high-yielding variety known for its medium to large, firm berries with a deliciously sweet flavor. The berries ripen in early to mid-summer, making it one of the earliest varieties to harvest. This compact, bushy plant has a neat growth habit and is perfect for smaller gardens, containers, or as part of a berry patch. Its vibrant green foliage turns a beautiful red in the fall, adding seasonal interest to your garden.
How to Plant Blueberry ‘Reka’?
Plant in acidic, well-drained soil with a pH of 4.5 to 5.5. Choose a sunny location that receives at least 6–8 hours of sunlight daily. Space plants 60–90 cm apart to ensure good air circulation. Water regularly, keeping the soil moist but not waterlogged. Mulch around the base to retain moisture and protect the roots from extreme temperatures.
