Campanula glomerata ‘Superba’ is a bold clustered bellflower prized for its dense heads of rich violet-purple, bell-shaped blooms and its strong, upright habit. The saturated colour creates a striking accent in cottage gardens, mixed perennial borders, and naturalistic plantings, and it combines beautifully with grasses and soft pastels for contrast. It also attracts pollinators and works well as a textured cut flower in summer bouquets. This variety is ideal when you want a reliable early-summer bloomer with intense colour and classic garden charm.
The plant grows to a height of 60–70 cm (24–28 inches) and produces compact clusters of small bell-shaped flowers with a diameter of 0–5 cm. Its many-flowered, rounded heads sit on sturdy leafy stems above a basal clump of green foliage, making it well suited for the front to mid-border and for informal, meadow-style combinations. ‘Superba’ flowers mainly from June to August and performs best in sun to partial shade in moist but well-drained soil; removing spent stems can help extend the display.
