Colocasia esculenta
Description: a deciduous ornamental plant with large leaves of a beautiful green colour. It can reach a height of up to 5 metres and a width of up to 3 metres.
Optimal soil: nutritious moist soil, with the addition of peat and humus.
Features of care: protection against spider mites, requires high humidity, good watering. The minimum temperature in winter should not be more than 10 degrees.
Features of reproduction: by means of seeds or by dividing thick rhizomes.
Application: ideal in landscape design for decorating ponds, garden paths, growing in large wide flower beds.
