Product Description - Crocosmia Lucifer (large-flowering)
Crocosmia Lucifer is a variegated flower with an incredibly bright colour. Inflorescences of red colour will decorate any garden. The height of the flower is 125 cm. The plant prefers a lot of light, so planting should be in the sunny side. It begins to bloom in July and ends in September. Prefers moist soil, so it needs constant, but not abundant watering. Does not need to be tied up as it has a strong stem. Before planting, the flower tubers should be kept in the house at room temperature for several days. The planting depth should be 4-5 cm. The inflorescences are long-lasting after cutting and can stand in a vase for about 2 weeks. Lucifer crocosmia is a beautiful flower that will decorate your front garden with its original and bright colour.

How to Plant - Crocosmia Lucifer (large-flowering)
Guide and tips for planting crocosmia plants

Choose the planting location: Crocosmia plants prefer full sun to partial shade and well-drained soil. Avoid planting in areas with standing water or where the soil remains soggy after rainfall.

Prepare the soil: Loosen the soil and remove any weeds or debris from the planting area. Amend the soil with compost or organic matter to improve the soil's fertility and drainage.

Plant the bulbs: Dig a hole that is about 4-6 inches deep and place the Crocosmia corms with the pointed end facing up. Space the corms about 6-8 inches apart.

Cover the bulbs: Cover the Crocosmia corms with soil and gently press down to remove air pockets. Make sure the soil level is even with the surrounding soil.

Water the bulbs: Give the corms a thorough watering after planting to settle the soil around the bulbs. Crocosmia plants prefer consistently moist soil, so water them regularly, but avoid over-watering as this can cause rot.

Mulch the area: Add a layer of organic mulch around the bulbs to help retain moisture and suppress weed growth. Keep the mulch a few inches away from the base of the corms to prevent rot.

Monitor the bulbs: Crocosmia corms typically take about 2-3 weeks to emerge from the soil, so be patient. Once they emerge, water and fertilize regularly to encourage healthy growth. Crocosmia plants can bloom in mid to late summer and may require occasional fertilization throughout the growing season.
