Crocosmia, or Montbretia, or Japanese gladiolus, is a tuberous, herbaceous, perennial plant. The corm is small and covered with reticulate scales. Flowers of 3-5 pcs. are collected in spectacular inflorescences. Flowers are up to 3-4 cm in diameter. During flowering, this plant is gorgeous. Its bright flowers stand for a long time in the cut. But it would be best if you cut them at the second bud's blooming stage. After that, it will begin to grow more intensively corms. The plant has a thin, straight stem with light green, narrowly-obvious upright leaves. Crocosmia inflorescences can be dried for winter bouquets. When dried, they retain their shape and color.
