Dahlia Davos will seduce you with its original bicoloured flowers. This interesting perennial with a height up to 120 cm has beautiful, bright, large flowers in deep, dark red colour with white tips of petals and bright green foliage. Garnish sunny and semi-shaded corners of the garden. Excellent for cutting. The flowers stay fresh in the vase for a long time and give off a pleasant fragrance. Tall dahlias need to be tied up to protect them from strong gusts of wind.
They flower from July to October. They perform best in sunny locations but can also withstand semi-shade. The plants do not require soil. But fertile, moderately moist, drained soil is most suitable for their cultivation. Spring at the end of May, when a steady plus temperature is established, is the best time for planting. They like dampness but not overwatering. They respond well to mineral and organic fertilizers, which are convenient to combine with watering. Propagated by dividing tubers. The rhizomes are dug up for the winter.

Choose the planting location: Dahlia plants prefer full sun and well-drained soil. Avoid planting in areas with standing water or where the soil remains soggy after rainfall.

Prepare the soil: Loosen the soil and remove any weeds or debris from the planting area. Amend the soil with compost or organic matter to improve the soil's fertility and drainage.

Plant the bulbs or tubers: Dig a hole that is about 12-16 cm deep and place the Dahlia bulb or tuber with the "eyes" facing up. If planting multiple bulbs, space them at least 24-36 cm apart.

Cover the bulbs or tubers: Cover the Dahlia bulbs or tubers with soil and gently press down to remove air pockets. Make sure the soil level is even with the surrounding soil.
