About ‘Yellow Jill’ – Tubers and Flowers
Dahlia ‘Yellow Jill’ is a striking variety known for its perfectly rounded, ball-shaped blooms in a warm golden-yellow hue. Its tightly packed petals create a sophisticated and elegant appearance, making it a standout choice for gardens and floral arrangements. This compact yet vigorous plant produces an abundance of flowers throughout the season, providing a long-lasting display of vibrant color. ‘Yellow Jill’ is also a favorite among pollinators, attracting bees and butterflies to the garden.
How to Plant ‘Yellow Jill’?
Plant tubers in well-draining, nutrient-rich soil about 10–15 cm deep after the last frost. Choose a sunny location to encourage healthy growth and prolific flowering. Space plants around 40–50 cm apart to allow good air circulation. Water regularly to keep the soil evenly moist but avoid overwatering. Fertilize every few weeks with a balanced or high-potash fertilizer to promote strong growth and continuous blooms. In colder climates, lift and store the tubers over winter to protect them for the next growing season.
