The bright Buggy gladiolus with its sunny yellow petals decorated with white corrugated edges and lush green foliage makes the variety the most popular among gardeners. The original colour and the scale of the blooms simply do not leave any lover of greenery indifferent. Already in summer, 20 to 22 buds form on the dense arrows of the plant. Their blossoming and flowing scent decorates the garden for up to 40 days.
As beautiful as Buggy is, it is extremely easy to care for. All it needs is a garter and regular watering without water stagnation. It likes sunny and semi-darkened spots, but needs to be protected from winds. Gladiolus bulbs can be planted in the open ground in the warm spring or can be germinated as early as March in a heated room. In autumn, remove the bulbs from the soil and put them into a 'dry' sleep until the following spring

Guide and tips for planting Gladiolus bulbs

Choose the planting location: Gladiolus bulbs prefer full sun and well-drained soil. Avoid planting in areas with standing water or where the soil remains soggy after rainfall.

Prepare the soil: Loosen the soil and remove any weeds or debris from the planting area. Amend the soil with compost or organic matter to improve the soil's fertility and drainage.

Plant the bulbs: Dig a hole that is about 8-12 cm deep and place the Gladiolus bulb with the pointed end facing up. Space the bulbs about 12-24 cm apart.

Cover the bulbs: Cover the Gladiolus bulbs with soil and gently press down to remove air pockets. Make sure the soil level is even with the surrounding soil.
