The flower is yellow with a purple eyelet and fringe, yellow throat. Blossoms in late June and blooms for 35-40 days. The flowers are excellent for cuttings. The flowers have a light fragrance. Each individual flower only blooms for one day. But this is not even noticeable as the flowers replace each other every day. The sturdy flower stalks grow taller than the shrub. On each flower stalk, 1-3 flowers bloom at a time. In late summer/early autumn, there may be repeated blooms, but the number of flowers produced is much lower. The shrub is a semi-evergreen sturdy, 60-70 cm tall and 30-40 cm wide.
The leaves are root-like, bright, succulent and narrow. The shrub gives the garden a particularly decorative appearance throughout the season. The leaves die back in winter. Lilies are one of the least demanding perennials. The main and most important task of growing lilies is the correct planting. Adult shrub forms 20 - 30 flower stalks, on which 15 - 20 flowers open one after another.
The lily leaf likes full sun because it is only there that its flowers will show their full glory (but a little shade will also do). In times of drought they need watering. After flowering, all stems should be cut off. In autumn, in October, all old leaves should be cut down to the ground. The variety is winter-hardy and will overwinter without shelter. But in regions with frosty winters, it is advisable to cover the shrubs with light covering material.
