The flower stalk is approximately 60 cm tall.
Reaches a height of 45-50 cm and a width of 50-70 cm.
Leaf size is approximately 30 cm long and 25 cm wide.
They are frost hardy, being able to grow down to -40°C.
The hosta is called the 'Queen of Shade' because most cultivars prefer shade or penumbra. But this variety, apart from the penumbra, copes well with plenty of sunlight. Its main decoration is its leaves. Their colour depends heavily on the fertiliser and the location in which it is planted. Young plants can look very different from older specimens. Sometimes you have to be patient to achieve the effect shown in the photo. The size indicated in the description above is an average that is reached after 4-5 years.

How to Plant - Hosta Diana Remembered
Guide and tips for planting Hosta Bare-Root Plants
-
Choose the planting location: Hosta plants prefer partial shade to full shade and well-drained soil. Avoid planting in areas with standing water or where the soil remains soggy after rainfall.
-
Prepare the soil: Loosen the soil and remove any weeds or debris from the planting area. Amend the soil with compost or organic matter to improve the soil's fertility and drainage.
-
Soak the Bare-Root Plants: Soak the Hosta Bare-Root Plants in water for at least an hour before planting. This will help to hydrate the roots and encourage healthy growth.
-
Dig a hole: Dig a hole deep enough to accommodate the roots of the plant. The hole should be slightly wider than the spread of the roots.
-
Place the plant in the hole: Carefully remove the Hosta Bare-Root Plant from its packaging and gently spread out the roots. Place the plant in the hole and backfill with soil, making sure the crown of the plant, where the roots meet the stem, is level with the soil surface. Press down firmly to eliminate air pockets.
-
Water the plant: Give the plant a thorough watering after planting to settle the soil around the roots. Continue to water the plant regularly to keep the soil evenly moist until the plant becomes established.
-
Mulch the plant: Add a layer of organic mulch around the plant to help retain moisture and suppress weed growth. Keep the mulch a few inches away from the base of the plant to prevent rot.
-
Monitor the plant: Keep an eye on the plant's growth and water it regularly as needed. Hosta plants generally bloom in mid to late summer and may require occasional fertilization throughout the growing season.
