Hyacinth Dark Dimension (Dutch Hyacinth, Hyacinth Orientalis 'Dark Dimension'). A charming hyacinth with a wonderful scent deserves your attention! This variety is almost black in colour. It is dark purple. The darkest variety you have ever seen. It will add coolness to the spring garden. It goes well with white hyacinths, as well as with other plants.
Appearance and aroma
Its peduncle is 20-25 cm tall. The flowers are bell-shaped, numerous (up to 35 pieces), wrapped, in a dense inflorescence. The size of the flower is about 4 cm in diameter and the same or slightly larger in length. This variety is distinguished not only by its beauty, but also by its most delightful aroma. The flowers have a strong and persistent sweet aroma. The inflorescence is a brush, spherical-cylindrical in shape and 20 to 30 cm high. The flowers bloom in mid-spring. This variety blooms for a long time, up to three weeks. The leaves are linear, smooth, grooved, blue-green, collected in basal rosettes of 9 pieces. They contrast effectively with the flowers, which are 10 to 30 cm long. This hyacinth is intended for outdoor cultivation, but is not ready for early flowering indoors. It has dense inflorescences of bell-shaped flowers.
Hyacinth Dark Dimension is an excellent choice for decorating a garden or creating a flower arrangement. It will add brightness to the gloomy corners of the garden. It is very hardy. It will look great in the spring and fill your home with its wonderful aroma. Prefers sunny places or partial shade, with protection from the winds. Frost resistance is high: this variety can withstand temperatures down to -34.4°C. The bulb size is 15/16 cm. Flowering time is April - May.
