Hydrangea (Hortensia) Candlelight
Product Description
Panicle hydrangea variety has a strong bush growth force. The shoots are erect, but they often bend under the weight of the pyramids of blossoming inflorescences.
Appearance.
Some of them, already in the first year, reach a diameter of 30 cm. At the beginning of flowering, in the summer, the caps of the inflorescences are creamy white; later, some flowers fly around, and the bracts of the remaining ones are painted in a pale pink hue. This gives them a unique charm. The aroma of flowers fills the garden in the evening when in the rays of the penetrating sun, the caps of inflorescences look just fantastic.
- Plant height: up to 120 cm;
- inflorescence diameter: up to 35 cm;
- flowering months: from July to October;
- Color of flowers: white.
The plant is demanding care and compliance with agricultural technology. It is pretty moisture-loving, likes high soil acidity, does not tolerate midday heat, burns in the sun, and looks neglected and unkempt. Winter hardiness of the bushes belongs to zone 4: it tolerates frosts down to -30 degrees with preventive mulching with needles or bark.
