Herbaceous perennial Louisiana iris Colorific will be an excellent choice for landscaping. It looks spectacular in single plantings and groups. Tall variety about 80 cm high with lilac-white flowers. The flower has six petals, of which three are lilac with a yellow central stripe, and three are white with a lilac stroke. Their charming abundant long flowering can be admired from June to the end of July. These irises have decorative, green, narrow, erect leaves. They prefer to grow on moist but not saturated soils. Therefore, it is better to plant in well-lit places. The abundance of flowering depends on this. Hibernate in the ground, but need shelter, especially in regions with harsh climates.

Prepare the soil: Iris plants prefer well-drained soil with a pH level of 6.0 to 7.0. Amend the soil with compost or organic matter to improve the soil's fertility and drainage.

Choose the planting location: Select a spot that receives at least 6 hours of direct sunlight per day. Avoid planting in areas with standing water or where the soil remains soggy after rainfall.

Dig a hole: Dig a hole deep enough to accommodate the roots of the plant. The hole should be shallow, only about 4 cm deep, and wide enough to spread the roots out.

Place the bare-root plant in the hole: Gently spread the roots out and place the plant in the hole. The top of the rhizome, the thickened root-like stem, should be visible above the soil surface. Backfill the hole with soil and press down firmly to eliminate air pockets.
