Product Description - Iris Siberica (Siberian) Paprikash
Iris Siberica Paprikash. Siberian iris 'Paprikash' is a perennial herbaceous plant 50 cm high with a short rhizome. The breeder is Schaffer-Sacks. The year of registration is 2012. Flowering time: June-July (in autumn there is a repeated flowering of individual flowers). Blooms profusely and for a long time. The flowers are large, red-brown-apricot with a bright yellow centre. Deep yellow fouls are outlined in red (three outer lobes). The standards (three inner perianth lobes forming a dome) are paler, with fewer veins. Stems with 2-3 flowers. The leaves are basal, linear, narrow, green.
Don't worry that iris rhizomes are very dry. They are dried before transport to prevent mould formation. We recommend soaking them in cold water for several hours before planting them in the ground. Irises like places where they receive at least 6 hours of light per day. The plants require permeable, fertile and slightly acidic soil. To improve the soil, add sand and peat. The planting hole should be about 25 cm in diameter. The planting depth is 10 cm.
