Planting and care instructions

For best results, plant this category at the recommended depth and grow it in a suitable location.

• Planting: Plant in autumn in fertile, moisture-retentive soil. Place them 8–10 cm deep and 10 cm apart, with the pointed side up.
• Light & location: Grow in sun or partial shade.
• Watering: Water after planting and keep the soil evenly moist, but avoid waterlogging.
• After flowering: Let the foliage die back naturally after flowering so the plant can store energy for the next season.
• Feeding & care: Add compost or organic mulch in spring to supply nutrients and help the soil retain moisture.
• Useful tip: Leave plants undisturbed to naturalise; divide overcrowded clumps after the foliage has died back.

To guarantee the best result and quality of our plants and bulbs, we dispatch all our orders at the right planting period. We monitor harvests in The Netherlands and weather conditions across Europe and start shipping our orders according to the following schedule:

• Summer Flowering Bulbs (dahlias, gladioli, begonias, etc.) - from 23 March until 1 July.
• Spring Flowering Bulbs (tulips, hyacinths, daffodils, etc.) - from 20 September until 1 December.
• Seeds and Garden Tools – all year round
• Roses, Perennials (except peonies), Bushes and other plants in pots - from 1 March until 1 June.
