An elegant member of the Asian group, Abbeville's Pride lily will be a great addition to your garden or plot. About 60 cm tall, the hybrid can grow outdoors in containers.
Appearance
Bright, orange-coloured flowers, 17 cm in diameter, forming clusters of 3-5 flowers which are held up by strongly foliated pedicels. Midsummer is when these majestic beauties bloom. They are highly frost-resistant, allowing them to overwinter in the soil under a layer of peat, dry foliage and grass.

These perennials are easy to care for. They prefer sunny or semi-shaded, windless areas with fertile, water-permeable, non-acidic soil. They do not tolerate overwatering. Propagated by bulbs, planted in September or mid-April. They are well adapted to fertilising.

How to Plant - Lily (Lilium) Abbevilles Pride

Choose a sunny spot in your garden with well-draining soil.

Mix some compost or other organic matter into the soil at the bottom of the hole.

Place the bulb in the hole with the pointed end facing up.

Fill the hole with soil and gently firm the soil around the bulb.

Water the soil until it is evenly moist.

Cover the area with a layer of mulch to help retain moisture and suppress weeds.

Water the bulb regularly, making sure not to let the soil dry out completely.

As the plant grows, provide support to the stem to prevent it from bending or breaking.

After the flowers have faded, cut the stem off at the base and continue to care for the plant by watering it regularly and providing it with full sun or partial shade.
