Lilies are among the really stately garden plants. Their beauty, variety, long flowering season, exquisite scent and graceful growth reflect the fruits of hundreds of years of breeding. Your garden should not be without them. Use these spectacular lilies to fill gaps in your flower borders or indulge yourself by planting a dozen or two bulbs in the front garden. Or if you don't have a scrap of land, plant them in a few pots on an urban balcony. Ideal for cuttings. If you want to create a bouquet or flower arrangement, you should remove the anthers beforehand. This way you won't get your clothes and tablecloths dirty.
