Product Description - Lily (Lilium) Double Sensation
Double Sensation lily (Double Asiatic Lily 'Double Sensation'). An Asian hybrid.
Appearance
A truly fabulous double lily! It has spectacular flowers of two colours. The flowers are large, from 7.5 to 15 cm in diameter. They face to the sides or upwards. The petals are thick, pinkish-red in colour with spectacular creamy strokes in the centre. 4-5 flowers are formed on one stem. There is no aroma.

Asian lilies are very easy to grow. They adapt well to most soils and are perfect for growing both outdoors and in containers. They are light-requiring. But for successful growth, they need full sun in the morning and shade in the afternoon. In one place, Double Sensation grows up to 5 years without transplanting, forming nests of bulbs of different ages and sizes. It looks better in group plantings of 3-5 pieces or more. The frost resistance of this variety is very high - up to -40 ° C. Plant height - 55-120 cm (depending on the size of the bulb). Flowering time is early summer.

How to Plant - Lily (Lilium) Double Sensation

Choose a sunny spot in your garden with well-draining soil.

Dig a hole that is 2-3 times deeper than the height of the bulb.

Mix some compost or other organic matter into the soil at the bottom of the hole.

Place the bulb in the hole with the pointed end facing up.

Fill the hole with soil and gently firm the soil around the bulb.

Cover the area with a layer of mulch to help retain moisture and suppress weeds.

Water the bulb regularly, making sure not to let the soil dry out completely.

As the plant grows, provide support to the stem to prevent it from bending or breaking.

After the flowers have faded, cut the stem off at the base and continue to care for the plant by watering it regularly and providing it with full sun or partial shade.
