Product Description - Lily (Lilium) Elodie
Lily Elodie (Asiatic Lily 'Elodie'). New! An Asian lily of delicate pastel colour seems to be created for romantics! It is of hybrid origin. It can take its rightful place in the collection of every grower.
Appearance and aroma of the Elodie lily
Completely double flowers (if the soil is low in phosphorus, the double will appear only in the second year) without pollen are ideal for creating flower arrangements. This pollenless lily is often called the "Kiss Lily".
This lily has spectacular flowers of attractive colour. It is one of the first to bloom. Its petals are painted in a delicate candy pink colour, which adds a special elegance. The colour of the flowers is more intense in the centre. Rare dark spots in the centre of each flower emphasise its beauty. The flowers of this lily are large, but its stems are shorter (compared to other varieties). Therefore, this variety is an excellent choice for small gardens or for growing in containers. The flowers are quite large and appear in early summer. But they lack fragrance. Against the background of pastel flowers, glossy dark green foliage contrasts beautifully, which is striking.
- The height of the plant is 60-90 cm.
- The width is about 25 cm.
- The flowers are all facing upwards.
- The shape of the flower is tubular.
- The size of the flower is from 7.5 to 15 cm in diameter.
- The flowering period is from June to July.

How to Plant - Lily (Lilium) Elodie
Planting & Care Instructions
Lilies are elegant summer-flowering bulbs ideal for garden beds, borders, pots and cut flower arrangements. For the best flowering results, choose a suitable location and follow the recommended planting depth for high-quality bulbs.
- Planting time: Plant the bulbs in spring (March to May) or autumn (September to December). Flowering time generally occurs in summer, from June to July.
- Position & soil: Choose a sunny position or partial shade. Plant in rich, loose and well-drained soil. Avoid areas where water tends to collect.
- Planting depth & spacing: Place the bulbs with the pointed end facing upwards. For standard lily bulbs, size 14/16 cm (XL), plant approximately 12–15 cm deep and 20–30 cm apart.
- Watering: Water regularly during active growth and flowering, but avoid waterlogging. Ensure proper drainage to keep the bulbs healthy.
- Growing in containers: Use pots or balcony boxes with drainage holes and a rich, well-drained potting mix. Ensure containers are deep enough to accommodate root growth.
- After flowering: Remove faded flowers to prevent seed formation, but allow the stem and foliage to remain until they naturally turn yellow and die back. This allows the bulb to store energy for the next season.
- Returning each year: Lilies are winter-hardy perennials that naturally return and bloom year after year when left undisturbed in suitable growing conditions.
