Lily Patricias Pride (Asiatic Lilium 'Patricias Pride'). One of the best representatives of the Asian lily group. Another name: Lily 'Purple Rain'. It is of hybrid origin. Its name means "Patricia's Pride". This beautiful lily has neat star-shaped flowers. They are directed upwards. The basic colour of the flowers is a neutral cream colour with a white tint. It is complemented by dark burgundy broad strokes with a small number of specks surrounding the centre. Due to its colour, this variety is easily combined with other plants in the flowerbed. The petals are curved. Over time, the petals fade. This lily is slightly fragrant. The stamens are long, red with heavy orange anthers. The size of the flower is from 15 cm to 18 cm in diameter.
This hardy variety requires minimal maintenance. It grows on any slightly acidic (even poor soil, unlike other lilies), moist soil with good drainage. Location - sunny place or light partial shade. This lily is ideal for planting in groups in the centre of the flower garden or in borders. It can also be grown in large pots on the patio. It is very much appreciated by florists. A reliable plant! It has a very high frost resistance - it can withstand -35 ° C. Looks better in groups of 3-5 (or more). Needs support. Plant height - 90 - 120cm (although there are also specimens higher).
