Product Description - Lily (Lilium) Whistler
The Whistler lily (Asiatic Lilium 'Whistler'). This is a hybrid of the Asian lily. The name translates as "Whistler".
Appearance
This lily has spectacular flowers of unusual colour. It blooms very early - in early summer (90 days after planting). The colour of the flowers varies from dusty coral, salmon to pink. It is complemented by a large number of reddish-brown specks. The stamens are orange. Each flower consists of 3 petals and 3 sepals of satin structure, which are very similar to each other. The flowers are all facing upwards. They are odourless. The size of the flower is from 15 cm to 18 cm in diameter.
This variety grows on fertile, moist soil with good drainage. Any slightly acidic soils are suitable, including heavy clay soils. Location - sunny side or light partial shade. It has a very high frost resistance - it can withstand -45.5 ° C. A reliable lily!
Looks great in flower beds, borders, and bouquets. Looks stunning against brick walls and paths. Ideal companions for this lily are other orange-coloured lilies and pink old roses. Looks better in groups of 3-5 (or more). Needs support. Plant height - 90-120 cm (although there are specimens higher). The flowering period is June-July.

How to Plant - Lily (Lilium) Whistler
