Product Description - Lily Jaybird
This lily is an Oriental hybrid with an exotic appearance. Florists appreciate these flowers for their truly royal size, which together with their unusual colour makes the Jaybird lily a welcome addition to any flower bed. Also suitable as a cut flower, it will look marvellous in a bouquet and will retain its scent and appearance for a long time.
Appearance and fragrance
The flowers are quite large and the bright colouring makes the plant even more noticeable. The delicate pink petals with stripes along the entire petal are surrounded by mottling. The flower stalk is tall and framed by bright green, sharp leaves. The flower is very delicate and has a playful appearance due to the petals, which are slightly twisted. It will stand out in the bed with the other lilies.
The Jaybird is also renowned for its exceptionally sweet scent.
Height of the plant: 90 - 100 cm.
Flower diameter will reach 15 to 20 cm.
Flower colour: soft pink with a crimson streak along the petal, bright mottling.
Flowering period: July to August.

How to Plant - Lily Jaybird
Guide and tips for plantinglilium(lily) bulbs

Choose a sunny spot in your garden with well-draining soil.

Dig a hole that is 2-3 times deeper than the height of the bulb.

Mix some compost or other organic matter into the soil at the bottom of the hole.

Place the bulb in the hole with the pointed end facing up.

Fill the hole with soil and gently firm the soil around the bulb.

Water the soil until it is evenly moist.

Cover the area with a layer of mulch to help retain moisture and suppress weeds.

Water the bulb regularly, making sure not to let the soil dry out completely.

As the plant grows, provide support to the stem to prevent it from bending or breaking.

After the flowers have faded, cut the stem off at the base and continue to care for the plant by watering it regularly and providing it with full sun or partial shade.
