Product Description - Lily (Lilium) Lalibela
Lily (Lilium) ‘Lalibela’ is a summer-flowering bulb lily chosen for bold, saturated colouring and a clean, classic lily shape. The large blooms face upward to outward, creating a strong focal point in borders, mixed perennial beds, and cutting gardens. It’s an excellent accent variety: a single plant reads clearly, while a small group builds a confident block of colour. Like many Asiatic-type lilies, it typically has little to no fragrance, making it comfortable for patios and indoor arrangements.
The plant grows to a height of about 60–120 cm (24–47 inches) and produces large flowers with an estimated diameter of about 10–15 cm in warm bright tones (often in the orange/red/yellow range, depending on supplier). Its vivid blooms rise on strong, upright stems above fresh green foliage, giving clear structure and high colour impact through the main season. Flowering typically runs from late spring into summer, and ‘Lalibela’ performs best in full sun to light partial shade in fertile, well-drained soil kept evenly moist but not waterlogged, then allowed to die back naturally after flowering so the bulb can recharge.
