An incredible new hybrid with elegant cream-coloured flowers with a pink blush and yellowish centre. In addition, the Miss Peculiar lily will amaze you not only with its beauty, but also with its aroma. It belongs to the group of OT lily hybrids. These lilies are one of the most fascinating garden flowers. And this variety is no exception.
Appearance
Large, simple, funnel-shaped flowers. They consist of three flower petals and three sepals, which are very similar to each other. They emerge from large flower buds. Their size is up to 25 cm in diameter. The flowers "look" to the sides (out-facing). The petals and sepals have a waxy texture, delicately wrapped backwards. The stamens are curved outwards. Anthers are dark orange, heavy. Before creating bouquets, pollen should be removed as it can stain clothes and tablecloths. The leaves are lanceolate, leathery, shiny. The colour of the leaves is dark green. The flower-bearing stems are stiff. The average plant height is from 110 cm. This beautiful variety will delight you with its flowering in mid-late summer. OT lily hybrids are a new group of lilies that are obtained by crossing Oriental Lilies and Trumpet Lilies. They will add glamour to the garden! These lilies have exceptionally fragrant flowers, like their parents, Oriental lilies, and large thick petals, like trumpet lilies. These plants are distinguished from other species by their strong growth and strong shoots, frost resistance, and disease resistance. Their flowers are very large, broadly cup-shaped or funnel-shaped, up to 17-25 cm in diameter. The colour of the flowers is white, yellow, pink, orange, red or multicoloured. The flowers look to the sides, up or down. These lilies are mainly used for year-round forcing and cutting. The height of the plants is 90-180 cm. Therefore, each lily from this group is often called a "lily tree".

How to Plant - Lily (Lilium) Miss Peculiar
Planting & Care Instructions
Lilies are elegant summer-flowering bulbs ideal for garden beds, borders, pots and cut flower arrangements. For the best flowering results, choose a suitable location and follow the recommended planting depth for high-quality bulbs.
- Planting time: Plant the bulbs in spring (March to May) or autumn (September to December). Flowering time generally occurs in summer, from June to July.
- Position & soil: Choose a sunny position or partial shade. Plant in rich, loose and well-drained soil. Avoid areas where water tends to collect.
- Planting depth & spacing: Place the bulbs with the pointed end facing upwards. For standard lily bulbs, size 14/16 cm (XL), plant approximately 12–15 cm deep and 20–30 cm apart.
- Watering: Water regularly during active growth and flowering, but avoid waterlogging. Ensure proper drainage to keep the bulbs healthy.
- Growing in containers: Use pots or balcony boxes with drainage holes and a rich, well-drained potting mix. Ensure containers are deep enough to accommodate root growth.
- After flowering: Remove faded flowers to prevent seed formation, but allow the stem and foliage to remain until they naturally turn yellow and die back. This allows the bulb to store energy for the next season.
- Returning each year: Lilies are winter-hardy perennials that naturally return and bloom year after year when left undisturbed in suitable growing conditions.
