Product Description - Lily (Lilium) Peninsula
Lily (Lilium) 'Peninsula' is an elegant Asiatic hybrid with soft, even pastel-pink blooms that have a subtle porcelain-like sheen. The star-shaped flowers are large (about 15–20 cm across) and look especially refined in romantic borders and mixed summer beds. It has little to no fragrance, which makes it a great choice for patios and bouquets where a neutral scent is preferred. The gentle pink tone reads as “cool” and sophisticated, so it blends seamlessly with white, silver, and lavender companions.
The plants grow to around 100–120 cm (39–47 inches) and bloom in July–August. 'Peninsula' performs best in full sun or light partial shade in fertile, well-drained soil, with regular moderate watering during active growth. For the best flower quality, apply a light mulch to keep roots cool and maintain more even soil moisture in summer. In windy spots, a discreet stake or sheltered planting position helps keep the tall stems perfectly upright. Thanks to its strong upright stems and neat foliage, it also works well as a long-lasting cut flower.
