Lily (Lilium) Perfect Joy

Lily (Lilium) ‘Perfect Joy’ is a standout pot (container) Asiatic lily from the Joy series, bred for compact growth and vivid, upright-facing blooms with a crisp, modern finish. The bicolour flowers are highly decorative: intense pink petals with a soft milky-white centre and a few playful freckles closer to the throat. With glossy dark-green foliage and sturdy, short stems, it looks “finished” even in a single container and becomes especially impressive when planted in a small group. It’s an ideal choice for patios, balconies, rock-garden style plantings, and the front of borders where you want strong colour without tall, floppy growth.

The plant grows to a height of about 40–50 cm (16–20 inches) and produces vivid bicolour blooms with a diameter of about 10–15 cm. Its upright-facing flowers rise above compact, glossy foliage to create a tidy, high-impact display in pots and tubs, while remaining easy to place in smaller spaces. Flowering is typically in summer, and under forcing it can bloom about 65–70 days after planting, making it suitable for planned display windows. ‘Perfect Joy’ performs best in full sun to light partial shade in fertile, well-drained soil or a high-quality potting mix kept evenly moist but not waterlogged.
