Product Description - Muscari White Spear
Muscari White Spear is an elegant spring variety distinguished by its unusual snow-white inflorescences, which are rarely found among classic blue or light blue muscari. The compact, dense inflorescences resemble miniature candles or “spears” (hence the name), growing on sturdy vertical flower stalks. Their pure color and delicate shape add sophistication and a light spring atmosphere to the garden.
This muscari variety looks especially good in group plantings, where its whiteness contrasts nicely with the greenery of the leaves and other early spring flowers. Thanks to its low height and decorative appearance, the variety is ideal for borders, alpine slides, mixed borders, and container landscaping. It has good frost resistance, is easy to care for, and blooms profusely every year.
The plant does not need to be replanted annually — it can grow in one place for up to 5 years, forming dense decorative clumps. It tolerates short periods of drought and cold well.

How to Plant - Muscari White Spear
Planting & Care Instructions
Muscari (Grape Hyacinths) are charming spring-flowering bulbs ideal for rock gardens, borders and pots. Bee-friendly, low-maintenance and winter-hardy, they produce vibrant early blooms and return reliably year after year.
- Planting time: Plant the bulbs in autumn, from September to December, before the ground freezes. Flowering time generally occurs from March to May.
- Preparation: No special pre-soaking required. Ensure bulbs are firm and healthy before planting.
- Position & soil: Choose a sunny position or partial shade. Plant in loose, well-drained soil. Avoid areas where water tends to collect.
- Planting depth & spacing: For standard muscari bulbs, size 7/8 cm, plant approximately 5–8 cm deep and 5–8 cm apart.
- Watering: Water once after planting to settle the soil. Additional watering during autumn and winter is usually unnecessary. Avoid waterlogged soil.
- Growing in containers: Use pots or balcony boxes with drainage holes and a well-drained potting mix. Bulbs can be planted slightly closer together than in garden beds.
- After flowering: Allow the foliage to remain until it naturally turns yellow and dies back. This allows the bulb to store energy for the following season.
- Returning each year: Muscari are winter-hardy perennials that multiply easily and return to bloom for many years when conditions are suitable.
